Taking more vacations without an exchange!

Getaway/Last Call/Extra Vacations

Timeshare ownership means taking vacations and staying in apartment style accomodations in sought after destinations.  Utilize your ownership to take more vacations without owning more timeshares units.

As a timeshare owner, verify with your resort the timeshare exchange company affiliate. For example, I have five timeshares and some can be traded through RCI, others through Interval International and some both.  The timeshare exchange companies charge an annual fee to access their inventory for a trade.

If not planning to use your own timeshare in a given year, inquire with the timeshare exchange company to discover what your unit is worth if you deposit with them.

Once membership with the exchange company is established, available units and their corresponding unit value will be listed.

A larger timeshare unit is worth more than a smaller unit and prime season is also more value than off-season.

All this being said,  Getaway/Last Call/Extra Vacations are timeshare units which are available for rent for a dollar amount versus trading with your deposited unit.

It is not necessary to have a unit deposited, only to have a current membership to the exchange company to utilize this option.

For example, as this article is being written,  Interval International has Getaway vacations listed for 7 days rental:  two-bedroom at Marriott’s Timber Lodge in Lake Tahoe for $732.00 (checking the Marriott website, this unit for that particular week is listed for $2,742.00); one bedroom unit on the coast of Maine for $434.00; Gatlingburg, TN $452.00 for a studio.

These extra vacations offered without trading a timeshare unit are worth checking out.  Always compare what the price would be on a hotel booking site to verify it is a good deal!

We’ve stayed on Main Street in Park City, UT in a one-bedroom apartment for a week, during ski season for under $600.  Sante Fe, NM offered a one-bedroom condo within walking distance to downtown for under $700 for the week.

Wishing you a bargain on your next vacation getaway!

Happy Travels,

Carol
