South Lake Tahoe…a haven for Timeshare exchanges
Lake Tahoe, over 2 million years old, is in the Sierra Nevada Mountains at an elevation of 6,225 feet, the second deepest lake in the United States with the deepest point at 1,645 ft. It is one of the purest lakes in the world and the largest alpine lake in North America. Lake Tahoe is 22 miles long and 12 miles at the widest point, with 72 miles of shoreline which takes about 90 minutes to drive around. The majority of timeshares are located on the South Shore of Lake Tahoe with several on the North Shore of the lake near the ski resorts. Nevada and California share the lake. Gambling is available on both shores in Nevada.
When deciding where to book your timeshare trade in Lake Tahoe, consider what you want to do and the amenities you enjoy. Do you want to be close to restaurants, the beaches, casinos, skiing, or more remote areas with mountain surroundings? Read the descriptions of the properties and the amenities listed on-site and nearby.
Renting a car while in the area will provide the opportunity to explore. The Reno/Tahoe airport is closest approximately an hour drive. Sacramento airport will take about 3 hours. There are several ski resorts around the lake if visiting in the winter and in the summer, a drive around the lake provides for beach access at several state parks and public beaches.
Lake Tahoe is a destination for visitors from around the world.
“As it lay there with the shadows of the mountains brilliantly photographed upon its still surface, I thought it must surely be the fairest picture the whole earth affords.” Mark Twain, 1871
Lake Tahoe is surrounded by forest intermingled with small cities and towns. The sky is usually blue and the water so clear, you can see your feet as you wade into the chilly water from the sandy beach.
