Pescadaro has a great market with a variety of gourmet offerings. Pick up ingredients for a picnic and park at a pull-out and watch the ocean.
Ano Nuevo State Park Reserve is about an hour drive and a mile and half walk out to see the elephant seals. Check-out the website for information about viewing the elephant seals. There are times during the year, you must make reservations for guided walks for viewing.

The property is walking distance to Hayes Street where there are multiple restaurants. There is overnight parking right around the corner from the property.
The hotel staff is very helpful. Pull up in front and unload your luggage and ask for directions to parking garage. We paid $30 for overnight 24 hours, a bargain at San Francisco rates.
The restaurant we chose was Absinthe Brasserie & Bar, a French restaurant with an excellent menu. The dining room is intimate and the bar impressive. ,
